For the purchasing decision
Check the sample against a written model and configuration record. Verify identity, battery requirements, supplied parts, labels and documentation, then record the agreed inspection results and unresolved questions. Visual appearance alone does not establish electrical performance or market compliance.
1. Identify what the sample represents
Record the model, revision when available, sample date, supplied accessories and the specification used for the review. Photograph the label and connections. If it is a private-label sample, record which artwork and packaging revision it carries.
A sample is useful only when it can be related to the proposed bulk supply. A similar-looking enclosure does not prove that internal construction, electrical settings or supplied cables are the same. Ask how any later change will be identified and approved.
2. Confirm the battery and intended use first
Write down the battery chemistry, nominal voltage, capacity and intended charging duty. A vehicle starting-battery application does not establish compatibility with every battery installed in that equipment. Confirm the actual battery and the manufacturer’s charging instructions.
For the current low-voltage lithium range, 12.6V and 14.6V are separate output versions. Do not treat either figure as a generic e-bike charger specification. Connector fit alone cannot establish voltage, chemistry or polarity compatibility.
3. Use a practical inspection record
| Area | Record and confirm |
|---|---|
| Identity and labels | Model, input and output wording, relevant warnings and supplied revision. |
| AC side | Required input range and plug for the destination; do not assume either from a photo. |
| DC side | Clamp or connector arrangement, polarity, cable requirements and fit. |
| Indication and functions | What the display and indicators mean according to the applicable manual; agreed functions for the selected model. |
| Packaging | Artwork, language, accessory list and agreed packing arrangement. |
| Documents | Applicable instructions and destination-specific evidence for this exact configuration. |
Use competent personnel for electrical testing under an agreed procedure. This procurement guide is not a mains wiring, disassembly or battery-repair instruction. Do not use an unsafe battery to demonstrate a charger feature.
4. Keep claims within the evidence
When checking charging current, distinguish a maximum figure from a specified or confirmed sustained rating. Record the voltage and agreed conditions. Do not infer a continuous rating from a short observation or a product title.
Likewise, seeing a repair indicator does not prove recovery of every damaged battery, and seeing an automatic charge finish does not establish long-term unattended maintenance capability. Waterproof use, multi-bank charging and destination-specific certification each need their own applicable evidence.
5. Close the open items before bulk approval
Keep a simple outcome for each inspection item: accepted, change requested or confirmation required. Resolve differences in writing and tie the final result to the approved product specification and artwork. A quotation should describe the configuration actually agreed, not just the sample’s appearance.
Include the quantity, destination, sample findings, packaging requirements and target date in the next inquiry. MOQ, price, delivery and any warranty arrangement are confirmed for the agreed order; this guide does not set universal commercial terms.
If you are reviewing a POWER1986 model, use the model-specific product page and ask for the relevant manual. Where information is missing, send the question rather than substituting a figure from a historical article.
Buyer questions
Does sample approval prove all later units are compliant?
No. Sample evaluation, the agreed bulk specification and applicable production or compliance evidence are distinct. Confirm the arrangements required for your order.
Should I send connector photos with the inquiry?
Yes, clear photos and dimensions can help identify the requested connection. Chemistry, charging voltage and polarity still need explicit confirmation.
